Why we exist

Purchase approvals sit at the quiet intersection of finance and operations. They rarely attract the same attention as year-end accounts, yet they decide where money is committed long before an invoice appears. Intel Portal was formed in Seoul to give those application files a dedicated financial reading — not as a side task squeezed between month-end close, but as the main work.

Origin

The practice began after years of supporting controllers who kept finding the same pattern: approvals that looked complete until someone matched the signature trail to the budget code, or until an internal auditor asked why three quotes were attached and only one amount was approved. We chose a narrow focus — financial audit of procurement approval applications — so the quality of that reading could stay high.

How we work with clients

We treat your approval policy and authority matrix as the standard, not as decoration. Findings are written so a finance lead can act without translating them into another language of theory. When a file is incomplete, we say so plainly. When the numbers hold, we say that too.

People

Our team combines former internal auditors and finance managers who have sat on both sides of the approval desk. Engagements are led by a named senior reviewer; junior staff prepare working papers under that person’s sign-off. Client contact stays with the engagement lead from scoping through delivery.

Our office is at 517 Yeongdong-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 06164 — close to the headquarters and shared-service teams we most often support. On-site sessions are available when documents cannot leave the building; remote reviews are common for multi-site groups.
